Chinese Zodiac 生肖 (shēngxiào)

Playing with paper is always a source of inspiration, it’s a remarkable form of self discovery which can create, when unfolded, singular shape, mood and form. And when the paper is in different coloures combines to the twelve Chinese Zodiac symbols, the magic is real. The paper, furthermore, is enriched with silk fibers, inspired by one of the most elegant and luxurious fabrics ever created and the special surface finish makes it smooth and soft to the touch. Pick a mascot related to your birth year (or not), then carefully fold it following the instruction to discover your special and portable-Chinese-Zodiac-sculpture.

The booklet has been then selected by the “Consolato Generale d'Italia Shanghai” and “Istituto Italiano di Cultura a Shanghai” as official gift during Italian design events in China, and selected for sale at La Biennale di Venezia, Triennale Design Museum and the ADI Design Museum in Milan. It also won an award at the ADCI Art Director Club Italy 2024.
